Valingro Cultural and Sports Committee (VCSC) organised a visit to "SAMARPANA" situated at Vinayagapuram, Kolathur, Chennai on Oct 17, 2015. SAMARPANA was founded by B. M. Sridhar in the year of 1995 under the President ship of Dr. Nanjundarao.
SAMARPANA is a charitable registered society founded to promote the cause and welfare of the deprived classes of the society including SPASTICS and MENTALLY CHALLENGED. SPASTIC is one who is handicapped in multiple ways due to malfunctioning or damage to the developing brain at the time of birth or at the developing ages.
There are 30 mentally challenged and Spastics from the age group of 6 years to 65 years living in the Home. SAMARPANA trains them in activities such as daily living, functional academics and prevocational and vocational skills.
The VCSC team arranged for "Annadhanam" to the members of the home and spent time by interacting with them.
